Royal Horticultural Society Bridgewater

The Royal Horticultural Society’s garden in Bridgewater is the fifth RHS garden and one of the largest gardening projects undertaken in Europe in recent years. The transformation of this 154-acre green space will enrich the lives of local communities and their environment for the future.

With the success of RHS Wisley our team at gpstudio were asked to create a vision for the regeneration of the heritage site to include the retail space and outside plant centre within the newly designed, award winning welcome building and visitors centre.

Our concept “Beyond the garden wall ‘ was  inspired by the original walled gardens that existed on the site and created a spacial design that encouraged exploration and a sense of discovery.

The result is a design that creates a unique and exciting retail offer connecting the customer with nature and the full RHS experience.
