Y.Whitlock

Yasmin Whitlock is currently enrolled at Kingston University where she is undertaking a Foundation Art Degree.

The focal point of her work is to ‘capture raw emotional expressions by preserving the facial expressions that often flash by unnoticed.’

Yasmin’s work contradicts contemporary sculptural casting methods by forgoing materials such as resin, plaster and bronze and maintaining the original clay form.

‘The fact that my sculptures are still in their original form, having been fired and then painted, means they are more akin to ancient sculptures making each one original and unique’.
