Fortnum & Mason wanted a dedicated Candle Room to pay homage to co-founder William Fortnum, who sold candles to Ladies of the Court in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Respecting the historic and architectural provenance of the building we juxtaposed contemporary furniture to create the Room. We used an intricate honeycomb pattern in the detailing with reference to the bee hives on the roof of Fortnum & Mason that produce a limited production of bees wax each year.
