Vienna’s inspiration draws on memories spent with her grandmother who suffered with Alzheimer’s yet used her favourite flower, roses, to recall fond memories. Vienna’s work explores how memories fade and distort between reality and fantasy, they are an imperfect portrayal of the past, susceptible to corruption. Her use of metal as the core material, which is hard to destruct, highlights the very opposite composites of the fragile and delicate rose.
