Natalie Law LY is a recent graduate of BA Fine Art at Middlesex University. Originally from Hong Kong, studying in London has given Natalie the opportunity to create and explore art through painting and sculpture.

“The Umbrella Revolution” is an example of her experiments with different materials, textures and colours. Representing the protests that took place in Hong Kong September 2015, the installation is different every time it is displayed. The umbrella became a symbol of the movement after protestors used umbrellas to protect themselves from the teargas and pepper spray used by police.
